Mr. Mark Lytle

Mark Lytle was named Director of International Investment in July 2009. His responsibilities in this role include management of the Direct Foreign Investment project management team based in Georgia and Georgia’s foreign offices in Beijing, London, Munich, Seoul and Tokyo. His team’s role is to support companies interested in investing and creating jobs in Georgia.
Mark's previous position was Director of Statewide Projects. His responsibilities included assigning domestic and international project, developing and implementing project manager training, and supervising the Statewide Project Managers and Research team.
Mark has been with the Georgia Department of Economic Development for over seven years in which time he has supported the location of more than 40 companies investing nearly $1,000,000,000.00 in Georgia. He has extensive experience with Korean companies and has successfully located Korean projects including, Mobis, Dongwon Metals, Kumho Tire, Sewon Precision, Daehan Solution, LG Chem Industrial Materials and Sometech Optical Instruments.
Prior to joining the GDEcD, Mark enjoyed a diverse career as President and COO of a nationwide industrial construction company, Sr. VP of Business Development for a global engineering company, and Partner-General Manager of a residential custom cabinetry business. He has extensive experience in program management, training, human resources and contract management.
Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He lives in Atlanta with his wife and has two adult children.
