Gretchen Corbin is the Division Director for International Operations. Gretchen’s responsibilities are to lead Georgia’s Trade Division, International Offices, Office of International Affairs, International Business Outreach and the Global Georgia initiative in its work towards marketing Georgia to the world.
Prior to her current position, Gretchen served as Director of Regional Project Managers for Existing Industry & Recruitment. During the Fiscal Year of 2007, the RPM-EIRs located 151 projects and assisted 1,165 Georgia companies. Gretchen has worked with the Georgia Department of Economic Development as a Project Manager, Assistant Director and Director to the Existing Industry & Recruitment Team. In additional Economic Development roles, Gretchen has worked with the Tennessee Valley Authority, the Cartersville – Bartow Chamber of Commerce, and the RACE to 1996 Commission, Rome and Floyd County’s Olympic efforts.
Gretchen is involved in a number of professional and civic organizations, including Leadership Georgia, the Georgia Economic Developers Association, Hands on Georgia and Rotary International.
Gretchen graduated with a management degree from Clemson University and from the University of Oklahoma’s Economic Development Institute. Gretchen is a native of Georgia, born in Athens, raised in Cedartown and now residing in Rome with her husband David and daughters, Savannah (5) and Elsa Quay (3).
